SMOG is a portable air quality detection device inspired by lichens as natural bioindicators of environmental health. Lichens absorb nutrients directly from the air, making them highly sensitive to pollutants. Changes in their growth, color, and species diversity serve as indicators of varying air pollution levels.

Designed to raise awareness of air pollution's impact on humans and the environment, it uses carbon sensors to collect real-time air data and responds through multi-sensory feedback, creating an interactive experience.

By reacting to varying air quality as it moves with its user, SMOG helps individuals better understand the widespread and invisible effects of pollution.
